Things we start to see:

We learn that Victor can be so blindsided by certain events and forget what is really around him until he messes up. Elizabeth seems to be in love with him because of her concern for Frankenstein yet we have not heard about her since his departure from Geneva. Many things come to mind such as what happens to the monster and why is he frightened by his own creation.
